Good News Monday
|
Mondays need good news. It helps start the week off right. Getting Revenge on Lauren Wood sold foreign rights to the Greeks! Break out the feta cheese and pita, it’s time for a party. You have to figure if the Greeks want the book and it’s not even out yet, you should rush to pre-order your copy. This is your chance to be a trend setter. This month Unpredictable also came out in France. Click on the link to see the nifty cover they gave me. They’re going to send me a copy and I’m looking forward to seeing it in person. We had a good weekend at Chez Cook. We managed to not only catch up with great friends, but also to make some inroads in our efforts to get things boxed up for the big move. Somehow our things continue to multiple in closets, but I am beginning to believe that everything will get done. Now it’s time for you to share your good news- what is going well for you these days? |

I’ve always wondered how foreign translations work. I mean, doesn’t a work lose something when it’s translated into another language? It’s like the Bible, how does that work in Chinese? Or in English for that matter.
But congratulations on the foreign rights sales. I hope that proves to be very lucrative.

Can’t read Greek at all. Barely can get by in French anymore, but will look for it in the bookstores in France once we get there. The good news is we book our air this week to France using our frequent flyer mileage. Sure hope they have some openings in Business/First class for us. Found four hotels in Avignon that appear to be right up our alley-right in the center of town inside the walls and inexpensive.

Ne dites pas à ma mère que je suis voyante, elle me croit libraire à Vancouver.
Don’t tell my mother I’m clairvoyant, she thinks I’m a librarian in Vancouver.
Congratulations Eileen!!

Ray is convinced my sweaters multiply during the night. As far as the rest of the packing? I know it’s multiplied itself several times. There definitely wasn’t this much the last time I move.
As far as good news goes, only 2 more nights living under the woman who is likely to fall through my ceiling one day.
