New shiny cover and a Lisa McMann give-away!

I am very excited to show off my shiny cover for my new YA which will be out in January. I was even more thrilled when one of my favorite writers, Lisa McMann, read the book and offered this amazing blurb!

“Paranormal fans, rejoice! Unraveling Isobel is thrilling and creepy, super sexy…and so very hilarious. Welcome to the dark side, Eileen, and thanks for bringing the funny.” —Lisa McMann, bestselling author of the Wake trilogy

To celebrate the cover, and the blurb, leave me a comment letting me know what you think of the cover and you could win the Lisa McMann book of your choice. Ebook or print. Wake? Cryer’s Cross? A pre-order of her new MG series- The Unwanteds?

About the book:

Isobel’s life is falling apart. Her mom just married some guy she met on the internet only three months before, and is moving them to his sprawling, gothic mansion off the coast of nowhere. Goodbye, best friend. Goodbye, social life. Hello, icky new stepfather, crunchy granola town, and unbelievably good-looking, officially off-limits stepbrother.
But on her first night in her new home, Isobel starts to fear that it isn’t only her life that’s unraveling—her sanity might be giving way too. Because either Isobel is losing her mind, just like her artist father did before her, or she’s seeing ghosts.
Either way, Isobel’s fast on her way to being the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons.

It’s really awesome to have Lisa McMann blurb your book! I loved Cryers Cross and I’m so believing every word she said on that blurb!

And that is one beautiful cover! I love how simple looking the swirls are but it just makes the over-all look of the cover really pretty. Nice choice of color too, blue’s my favorite!

Wow, Eileen! Love the cover, love the blurb, love the description. (and it’s probably no coincidence that I misspelled cover as “covet” the first time!)

its a perfect cover for the book. it conveys what the book is about whithout reading anything about the book. you can tell the book has a little bit of goth, by the look of the girl on the cover, you feel that isobel is a little artsy and complicated and whimsical by the art being drawn on the cover. and the playfulness of intertwining her arm into the artwork and the title “unraveling isobel”.then you add the flattering comment by lisa mccann. it makes the whole thing a slam dunk for a best seller.watch out world here comes eileen cook

What a lovely cover! I adore the artsy feel and curly design, as well as how the cover model is staged right between the ‘unraveling’ painting.

The new cover is fantastic! I love all the black swirls that she’s “painting” and the way she made a mistake and left a blotch right above where the brush is hovering. I can’t wait to hear the reason behind that! I love how the swirls are curling around her wrists and binding her in place. This creepiness is offset by the bright, happy blue and the white of your name. It’s such a rare duality! I can’t wait to hear more about this title! I’m going to go show off your awesome cover on my blog now 🙂
