GCC- I’ve Been Waiting for This One
I’ve very excited to announce that Denise Jaden’s new book, NEVER ENOUGH, is now out! I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at this book and loved it enough to give it a blurb. Here’s what I had to say:
“Denise Jaden’s Never Enough is honest, gut wrenching, and oh so beautiful. It’s a book you can’t wait to share.”

Denise stopped by to chat:
1) Tell us something fun about your new book, it can be a character detail, something that inspired the story, or a behind the scenes story from the writing process.
When people ask me which character from which book I most resemble, I always say Loann from Never Enough. We have the same curly/frizzy hair, the same preoccupation with our own thoughts, and the same quirky sense of humor that probably not everybody gets.
2) What do you like to do when you aren’t writing?
I like to hang out with other cool B.C. writers like Eileen Cook! See, that’s what I mean about my silly sense of humor. Actually, besides writing, I am also a professional Polynesian dancer, and I’m also a homeschooling mom.
3) If you weren’t an author- what job would you choose?
I want one of those jobs that doesn’t seem like it really could be an actual job, like a gourmet food sampler or professional wine taster. But, really, I love all the jobs I do more than I could probably love anything else.
4) Rapid fire round!

About the book:
From the author of Losing Faith, a novel about two sisters and the eating disorder that threatens to destroy their family.
Loann’s always wanted to be popular and pretty like her sister, Claire. So when Claire’s ex-boyfriend starts flirting with her, Loann is willing to do whatever it takes to feel special…even if that means betraying her sister.
But as Loann slips inside Claire’s world, she discovers that everything is not as it seems. Claire’s quest for perfection is all-consuming, and comes at a dangerous price. And Loann is frightened she could lose the sister she’s always idolized.
As Claire increasingly withdraws from friends and family, Loann struggles to understand her and make amends. Can she heal their relationship—and her sister—before it’s too late?

This book looks awesome. I loved Denise’s first book sooo much. I’ve been reading a lot of blogs that have been featuring her lately and it’s fun to get a little bit of a look into her life.

I love YA novels that deal with real-life issues (as opposed to paranormal YA)! I think this sounds like a great book, Denise! Really well done trailer, too. Oh, and I didn’t take my Christmas tree down until March…though not out of any great love for the holiday. It was mostly sheer laziness on my part.
